A bit about our club...
National Seniors is a not-for-profit membership based community
organisation which provides economic and social benefits for people 50 years and over,
and represents its members views to Government at all levels.
National Seniors was established by a group of visionary
Queenslanders in 1976. Now, 40 years on, with over 200,000 members, 140
branches, and 70 employees, it is the consumer lobby for older Australians
and the fourth largest organisation of its type in the world.
Providing unrivalled access to policy-makers, a raft of commercial
benefits, world-class research and top-notch publications, National Seniors
is everything the over 50s need to navigate the second half of their lives.
While the organisation stays true to its roots by giving older
Australians – working and retired - a strong national voice, it also leads a
new guard of seniors: the baby boomers who are already redefining what it
means to grow old.
National Seniors Australia branches are a great place
for over 50s to get involved in discussing community issues, participate in
social events, hear informative guest speakers and meet like-minded members.
Most importantly, members can ensure their voice is
heard on issues affecting millions of Australians aged over 50.
Albany Creek Branch offers a range of activities and provides National Seniors members in the area with an opportunity to get together, not only to meet new people and enjoy social outings, but also to have their say on important issues that affect over 50s. The Branch meets on the second Friday of each month for a 5:30pm start.
We welcome new members and interested visitors.
